
Steps to Use Google Meet
Open Google Meet via web browser or the application.
Click Join or start a meeting to create a classroom.
Enter the Meeting Code, which could be the course code, class session, or lesson topic, then click Continue.
A preview screen will appear with the connected webcam. To start, click Join meeting.
Copy the meeting link by clicking Copy joining info and share it with students.
Wait for students to join, then start the lesson.
To see participants, click People (top-right) to display student names.
To chat with students, click Chat (top-right).
To mute a student, go to People > click the triangle next to the student’s name > click Mute Microphone.
To end the class, click the Hang up button on the bottom menu bar.
Presenting Screen / Slides
Only available on Desktop / PC / Mac. Click Present Now at the bottom menu.
Choose:
A Window – select a specific program to present
Your entire screen – present the full screen
The system will display "You're presenting to everyone", and the bottom bar will show meet.google.com is sharing your screen.
The presenter’s webcam remains visible during screen sharing (check under People).
To stop presenting, click Stop sharing at the bottom or in the Google Meet window click Stop presenting.
Sharing Computer Audio in Google Meet
Windows 8 / 10
Enable Stereo Mix: Right-click the speaker icon (Taskbar) > choose Sound.
In the Sound window, click Recording tab > right-click empty space, select Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices.
Right-click Stereo Mix and select Enable.

To use in Google Meet: Open Settings (three dots bottom menu > Settings) > Audio tab > select Microphone as Stereo Mix.
Note: Changing this disables the regular microphone. To use it again, revert to the previously selected device.
Mac OS
Download Soundflower [click here to download].
Extract the .dmg
file and install Soundflower.pkg.
First-time installation may be blocked: click OK, then go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General, set Allow apps downloaded from to App Store and identified developers.
If "Soundflower.pkg was blocked" appears, click Open Anyway, then click Open to start installation.
Follow the installation steps. If unsuccessful, repeat step 3.
After installation, open Launchpad / Applications > Audio MIDI Setup.
Click + (bottom-left) > Create Multi-Output Device > tick Use for Built-in Output, Soundflower (2ch), Soundflower (64ch) > tick Drift Correction for Soundflower (2ch, 64ch).
Go to System Preferences > Sound: Output → Multi-Output Device, Input → Soundflower (2ch).

To use in Google Meet: Settings > Audio tab > select Microphone as Soundflower (2ch).
Note: Regular microphone will be disabled; revert to previous device to use.
After class, restore defaults: System Preferences > Sound: Output → Internal Speakers, Input → Internal Microphone.
