COSCI Students Fly to the Philippines to Tackle Social Issues with Innovative Solutions
Two SWU Students Awarded Full Scholarships for APYExtra in the Philippines
Two students from the College of Social Communication Innovation, Srinakharinwirot University, have been selected to participate in the Asia Pacific Youth Exchange Extended Technical Review and Assessment Module (APYExtra) with full scholarships.
The recipients are:
- Ms. Warangsiri Thanajaraswaraphat – Film and Digital Media Major
- Ms. Anchisa Rojanayuktanon – Communication Innovation Major
They were chosen by Urban Youth Academy (UYA), Yunus Center–Asian Institute of Technology (YCA), and Hanyang University (HYU) to attend APYExtra, held February 21–26, 2019 at University of San Carlos–Talamban Campus, Cebu, Philippines.
APYExtra is an extension of the Asia Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE), designed to engage young leaders in creating Social Innovations that address United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The program brought together participants from multiple countries, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with international teams, conduct on-site fieldwork, and develop innovative solutions to urban and community challenges through creativity and social innovation.
